CLIMATE:

Tucson is famous for its year-round warm, dry sunny weather.  Winter days are warm, averaging 18 – 22 degrees centigrade; nights are cool to cold, averaging 3 – 4 degrees centigrade, requiring a coat.  Because of the wonderful winter weather, many visitors from the northern U.S. and from Canada spend the winter in Tucson.  Summer temperatures are hot but very dry due to the low humidity most of the year, and all buildings are air-conditioned.  Cooler summer temperatures can be enjoyed in a half-hour drive up into the forested mountains surrounding Tucson.
